It was such a fun day on 31 October 2018. Of course it was Halloween! More importantly, I had the pleasure of photographing the wonderful wedding of Monica and Matthew at Pee Wee’s at the point. On a day when the weather was in our favour, Elvis, yes the king himself, made a surprise entrance to the rapturous applause of unsuspecting guests. Microphone in hand, Elvis (ok it really was John Collins dressed as the King) jaunted towards the guests while singing “Can’t Help Falling in Love With You”. Shortly behind him, Monica made her grand entrance as Matt stood in anticipation. Smiles that said it all broke out between the both of them as ‘Elvis’ kicked the ceremony off as the wedding celebrant.
There was lots of laughter, some tears, some really lengthy kisses and a big hunk o’ love’. After the ceremony, the wedding guests hopped onto The King’s musical train as everyone including the bride and groom joined in some good old Elvis song.
Shortly after, as Darwin’s infamous sunset began to paint the sky golden, we headed down to East Point Reserve to capture some stunning photos for the beautiful wedded couple.
Monica and Matt, M&M’s as they called themselves, rounded off the evening dinner served to all guests in the luxurious ambience of Pee Wee’s. It was a fun and happy evening with guests switching seats to mingle around with one another. My best wishes to Matt and Monica for embarking on this beautiful journey together.
